Roberto Voerzio Barolo Docg del comune di La Morra 2020
Item No.: WDIR0028
Winery: --
Region(s): Piedmont
Appellation: --

Description: This Barolo is the result of blending Nebbiolo grapes grown in four different Barolo vineyards located in the village of Morra: Fossati, La Serra, Case Nere and Boilo. Most of the vines, which were planted in the 1980s, are harvested by hand at the end of September or the start of October. The grapes ferment for about a month in stainless steel tanks with the help of natural yeasts. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged for 18 months. The deep garnet wine reveals an expressive nose with black cherries, rose petals and spices. This velvety Barolo can spend many long years in the cellar ageing and would pair wonderfully with a duck breast cooked with spices.
